Back from Burning Man...This years event in the desert was very refreshing, psychologically for me. I had a chance to do some serious thinking on a lot of topics and to recommit to some goals. Very good stuff all around. I posted a photo-essay about The Temple over on my flickr site: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tamooj/sets/72157622176549639/ And some images from this years event itself in another flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tamooj/collections/72157622301011860/ Work Stuff: I'm focusing some time on clarifying our vision for Shared Electron; there is a lot to our vision, but clarity and focus were lacking, and we hadn't really expressed the value proposition as succinctly as I would have liked. The short version is "Social Commerce" or C2C, as I have dubbed it. It seems clear to me that the trend towards not only content but functionality and utility tailored towards each users social context is inevitable. Yet there are no real tools or services for doing this in an ego-free manner. By ego-free I mean technically and financially agnostic; in an abundance economy webverse, trying to put garden walls around a site-agnostic offering screams "You really don't get it!". In any event, I'll find a way to express the concept to investors in a single slide, if at all possible. By Tamooj at Sep 21 2009 - 4:38pm | Tamooj's blog
